We collect the minimum needed to let you log meals, analyze food photos with AI, sync across devices, and process subscriptions. We don't sell your data, don't run ad networks, and you can delete everything from inside the app.

Introduction

Mornivo ("we", "us", "the app") is an AI-powered calorie and nutrition tracker. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We've kept it short and specific — no generic legalese padding.

Information we collect

Account & Identity

Anonymous User ID
Assigned automatically on first launch — no sign-up needed.
Email Address
Only if you create an account or sign in with Google.

Health & Activity Data

Meal Logs
Food items, calories, macros (protein, carbs, fat), and meal type.
Food Photos
Images for AI analysis, stored so they appear in your history.
Exercise & Water
What you log manually in the app.
Goals
Your daily calorie and macro targets.

Usage & Technical

AI Credit Usage
A per-account counter to enforce free-tier limits.
Subscription Status
Whether you have an active Pro entitlement.
Device Platform
iOS or Android, used to deliver platform-correct features.

What we don't collect: precise location, contacts, calendar, microphone audio, browsing history. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.

Meal Analysis
Analyze photos and return nutrition estimates via AI.
Cross-device Sync
Save your history and sync it across signed-in devices.
Pro Features
Enforce free-tier limits and unlock Pro for paid subscribers.
Authentication
Authenticate you and protect your account.
Support
Respond to support requests you send us.

We do not use your data to train AI models, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.

Retention & deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account exists. You can delete everything at any time:

Profile → Clear My Data Permanently deletes all meals, photos, and resets your AI credits instantly.

Full account deletion Email us and we'll delete your email and auth record within 30 days.

Anonymous sessions Sessions that were never signed up are automatically purged after inactivity.

Security

All data transmitted over HTTPS (TLS 1.2+)
Row-level security: users only read and write their own rows
Passwords hashed by Supabase (bcrypt)
Auth tokens stored in device's secure storage
Security failures treated as the most serious class of bug

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

✓Correct inaccurate data
✓Request deletion
✓Object to or restrict processing
✓Receive a portable copy
✓Withdraw consent at any time

To exercise any of these, email us — we'll respond within 30 days. EU/UK users also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

Children

Mornivo is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we'll delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top, and — for significant changes — show an in-app notice the next time you open Mornivo.
